First three agreements under the Guarantee Facility signed

In December the EIF signed its first three Agreements under the Guarantee Pillar of the Western Balkans Enterprise Development and Innovation Facility (“WB EDIF”) with the ProCredit Group supporting SMEs in Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Kosovo* (in line with UNSCR 1244 and the ICJ Opinion on the Kosovo Declaration of Independence) which ordinarily face difficulties accessing finance. Thanks to these three transactions, a total of EUR 60m of SME lending in the Western Balkans will be generated.
